Ida Gotkovsky is a French composer and pianist of Russian descent. She has written extensively for various instrumental ensembles and is particularly known for her compositions for wind instruments. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Prix de Rome and the Grand Prix Musical de la Ville de Paris. Gotkovsky’s compositional style is marked by a strong sense of melody, intricate harmonic structures, and rhythmic vitality. Her works often draw on folk music influences and explore a wide range of moods and emotions.
